NS train No. 314 rolls along the shore of Lake Pontchartrain behind a trio of Union Pacific SD40-2s: 3424, 3973, and B4251. This area of New Orleans East is known as "Little Woods". This fishing camps visible on the lake were only accessible by crossing the NS NO&NE District main lines by foot and were all destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. |
