| A CN through freight crosses Medina Junction Rd. (out-of-frame to right) and passes the Rat River Wildlife Area as it heads southeast via former SOO rails at Medina Junction, WI on 9 Jun. '18. It looks like there was a fire here earlier this spring, otherwise last year’s cattails and marsh grass would partially obscure the train. This scene looks odd without the interesting, old telephone poles that stood along the far side of the tracks for 146 years, until they were removed between 4 and 18 Sep. '17. |
