FSF. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, in May of 1960. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8851, an AS-16MS built by the American Locomotive Company in January of 1952 and rated at 1,600 horsepower. On the Ward Trucking Company siding are several "wagon-top" boxcars recently reconditioned at the PRR's Samuel Rea Shop in Hollidaysburg. Photo taken from the 4th Street Footbridge.

Robert Anderson General Telling shot. New RS3, old international trucks at dock and fresh painted PRR wagon tops. The tell-tales above the 8851 are some thing not seen much today. Thanks for the trip back. 9/6/2018 11:30:52 PM
