| At 7:17 AM the northbound CRESCENT rolls under the westbound home signal at East City Junction (notice the green sign on the right) as it accelerates away from the connection with the New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal EASTERN CONNECTION. P42 134 leads a typical consist with two engines and nine cars: a Heritage Fleet baggage car, two Viewliner sleepers, a Heritage Fleet diner, an Amfleet lounge and four coaches. The classic steel signal bridge was built by the Southern Railway and has since been replaced with an aluminum structure. |
