This was one of two G's that still had their single stripe, the other being 4880. Local fan Walt Grosselfinger had a set of magnetic letters spelling out "Pennsylvania" and a magnetic keystone, that he persuaded NJ DOT(I think he knew people) to let him apply to these units for photos. He showed me a shot-around 1981, so roughly the time of this photo-of one of them on the Raritan River bridge with the lettering and keystone. It looked awesome!!
