PRR 4717, P-5A, 1949         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near PERRY Tower in South Philadelphia, on 26 June 1949. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4717, a P-5A (2-C-2) built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in October of 1932, rated at 3,750 HP, and retired in June of 1962 after 30 years of service. The number of the N-5 cabin car is not recorded. Raymond C. Laws Collection.
