PRR 6779, M-1B, 1956         
Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Indianapolis, Indiana, on 9 December 1956. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6779, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as an M-1A during March of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in December of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. The numbers of the other locomotives in the photo are not recorded. Raymond C. Laws Collection.
