Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by David R. Sweetland that was taken in Cresson, Pennsylvania, during July of 1959. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8930, #8932, and #8808. All are road switchers built by Fairbanks-Morse. #8930 and #8932 are FS-20M's rated at 2,000 horsepower each; #8930 was built in June of 1951 and retired in December of 1966, while #8932 was built in April of 1951 and retired in July of 1966. Engine #8808 is an FS-16M built in April of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, and retired in June of 1967. ("LouisFols"; #35 of 39) |
