Portraits 1. Here is a diesel locomotive portrait via Ralph H. Payne that was taken near Columbus, Ohio, on 1 October 1948. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5865 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5865 was constructed in February of 1948. Looks to me like the engineman is checkin' his emails! (#14 of 20) |
