M.A. Patout & Son SW9 1825 was at the company’s ENTERPRISE PLANTATION sugar mill at Patoutville, Louisiana. The locomotive had been built in October 1953 as Pittsburg & Shawmut 234 and was renumbered P&S 1891 in 1975. It arrived at Patoutville in October 1996 and was repainted at the Louisiana & Delta’s shop in New Iberia in May 1997. It was pictured here 10 years later, in a well-weathered condition. |
