Big Boy 4013
UP 4013 rests in the Green River yard in mid-1948. The massive 4-8-8-4 engine was built by ALCO in 1941, and would operate on the Union Pacific for 18 years before its retirement in 1959. Even after retirement, it would be another 4 years before 4013 would be cut up, eventually being scrapped on April 23, 1963. Obtained from Union Pacific Steam: Big Boy Portraits (Bush, Ehernberger)
