Here is page ten of a 64-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "World Famous Horseshoe Curve, Altoona, Pennsylvania Railroad." It was first issued in September of 1973. Partial Caption: "'What a way to go' ~ around the Horseshoe Curve, seeing the beautiful scenery in the Allegheny Mountains from the observation car on the rear of the Pennsylvania Limited in 1892." Photo by William H. Rau. Note that there are only three tracks visible in this photo: the two on the right for through traffic, but the one next to the cliff face is being used for the construction of Track 4.
