Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken at the Roundhouse in Northumberland, Pennsylvania, c. 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6810, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during August of 1926 and retired in February of 1958 after 32 years of faithful service. Note the atypical tender! Edward Kaspriske Collection. |
