Cabbage Cutter in Cincy  Contributor's Pick!
"Cabbage Cutter" was one of the nicknames NYC crews bestowed upon the RF-16A, which most modern railfans know as the Shark or Sharknose. The other NYC nickname was Spaceship. Here, 3805 leads an A-B-A formation on a transfer run, a common task for these Baldwins. 3805 is one of the lucky two surviors of this class, stored out of the public eye in Michigan as of 2023 as Delaware & Hudson 1205. Unknown photographer, from the Ralph L. Phillips collection of the Bay State Model Railroad Museum.
