Tom Beckett	General	He's on the Port Washington Branch, which got diesels only when the snow got really bad!! I like that you also caught a train of R 36's on the Flushing Line overhead. This is a cool album. I went to Xavier HS on 16th St in New York at that time. I recall, prior to the GP 38's, seeing all manner of the "old" equipment on the diesel hauled trains. Many times while we were in the station on the IRT, a train out of Hunterspoint Av would come barreling around the curve to the west with a pair of C 420's and about 15 cars, mostly P 54's, but also the various hand me downs off the long distance trains, and on Friday's, parlors for the east end. Nice memories here!! Well, maybe not slogging to school in the snow....	1/2/2024 3:52:46 AM
