| 7.21.1984 Spencer, NS. SOU GP35 32696 at the end of the motive power on a southbound COFC train #221 just out of Linwood Yard. It is passing through the Spencer Yard, formerly a part of the Spencer Shops. The sop grounds were decommissioned by Southern RY in the mid 1970's and was donated to the State of North Carolina to become a transportation museum . Over the past 45+ years the North Carolina Transportation Museum has gather an impressive collection of locomotives, freight & passenger cars, automobiles, and trucks. |
