| MILW #54 was built by EMD in May of 1974. This was the last of the fifteen soley built for the Milwaukee Road commuter service. Eventually this loco became METX #614 when the MIlwaukee Road collapsed. Although not functional, METX #614 and #611 (nee-MILW #51) have remained on the Metra roster and stored away in the Western Avenue rail yard. Possibly some day they may be restored to ride the rails again! An unidentified rail fan took these photos in the album all on the same day.ILW |
