B&O 381593 was 1 of 975 cars in series built in 1941, class M-53-a, 100,000 pounds capacity, still in service and listed in the B&O equipment summary number 58, issued 01-01-1960. They were listed as "wagon top cars". They also were equipped with cushion underframes.
