The first "track swing" is in place. "Track Swing" is a term used by the railroad when an existing track is re-routed to allow maintenence on the existing roadbed or structure. Here, Track 2 (the Southernmost track) has been 'swung' to Bay 4, which was empty after the railroad downsized in the 1970's. Bay 4 is hosting trains again for the first time in more than 40 years as part of the construction. |
