FEC 484
When is the last time any of us saw a cab unit on FEC? (NOT counting that failed attempt with FEC 97 earlier in the year, didn't even get past TX) The ex-AMTK FL9 is sitting at FEC's shops in New Smyrna Beach waiting on extensive work before hitting the road. Arrived at the shops on 7-2-07

BandA Fan General EXTENSIVE work, yeah, they can start by replacing that ugly, non-origional snow plow pilot. There's no snow in Florida anyhoo, is there? (;-)[ 7/10/2007 4:07:37 PM
Jeff Maz General Yeah, and no electrified third rails either. FEC is just gonna use this as a straight diesel? 8/18/2007 4:07:36 PM
Neil Stutzman General I didn't see it there on Sunday so it must be in the shop building. 9/18/2007 7:20:20 PM
Southern Railroad General its now rebuilt and painted green and white. lettered FLNX 484 7/12/2008 8:39:19 PM
Ron Moraca General Did that extensive rebuild (for that's what it probably was) include removing that tacky retrofitted snow plow pilot!? When FL gets snow, MT will have palm trees! 11/22/2008 1:38:25 AM
David Stewart General What aa shame this unit did not get to have any type of FEC paint, I would think they would have put a more atractive atire on it than just that ugley dark blue the 40s have. Any thing even just one unit and one or two cars would beat that crudy well car with the generator in it for VIP tours. Good catch & Nice shot! 6/16/2009 3:12:51 AM
