AT&SF GP35u 2805 at Wolcott, Indiana on February 4, 1987, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in February 1964 as AT&SF GP35 1305 (c/n 28702) on EMD Order 7675, it was renumbered to 3305 during June 1972. During August 1982 it was rebuilt to GP35u 2805, gaining a Vapor cab air conditioner and smoke deflectors over the central air intake grills (later removed). It was renumbered briefly to 3664 to fit into the SPSF merger numbering plan, and back to 2805 when that fell through. It was transferred to BNSF September 22 1995, renumbered to BNSF 2505 on November 30, 1999. |
