Title:  MILW 4-4-2 #24 - Milwaukee Road
Description:  Originally built by Burhan, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in November of 1898, this 4-4-2 Atlantic type steam locomotive sits in the Bettendorf, IA, yard. The loco was renumbered several times - MILW 408 in 1899, MILW 908 in 1901, MILW 3008 in 1912 and finally MILW 24 in 1938. Original specs - serial #16319, class A1, 78" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, Vauclain compoumd with 22x26" & 13x26" cylinders, engine weight of 140,700 lb, modest tractive effort of 14,196 lb.
