A historic moment
Title:  A historic moment
Description:  This is the last train to pass the old signal at the CNL Turnout north of Laurens. Soon after the train passed, the old signal would be removed. The crews on the ground lined the switch to the Spartanburg sub for this train.

Title:  Switch position light installed
Description:  I can only guess that this is a temporary arrangement until the CTC is turned on here. The power switch has been installed and the old hand-throw job is gone.

New intermediates are turned on
Title:  New intermediates are turned on
Description:  The crews had just turned on these new APP markers. We are looking northbound at the APP for CNL turnout on the Spartanburg Sub. The other signal is the APP for N Irby. These aren't ABS yet because CSX hasn't installed switch contacts on the hand throw switches in this segment of track. This the DTC block will remain here until those get installed. Check out the black cat that has just crossed the path of the CSX...hope that doesn't bring bad luck!
