Shown here are four Pennsylvania Railroad "Consolidations" built by four different firms. #7234 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as number "7234" during December of 1913, renumbered "7563" in 1958, and retired in October of 1958. #9989 was built in Juniata as Vandalia H-8C number "419" during February of 1912, rebuilt by Vandalia as H-8SC number "361" in September of 1916, renumbered PRR "8824" in 1917, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in November of 1920, renumbered "9889" in 1951, later renumbered "9989," and retired in August of 1957. #9895 was built by the American Locomotive Company during June of 1913 and retired in October of 1957. #8173 was built by the Lima Locomotive Works during October of 1915 and retired in October of 1957. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Steam Power ~ East and West" that's produced by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (816-11).
